Additional Information for GGI Metrics Summit

The seminar will be held at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood, Massachusetts. The Four Points/Norwood is equidistant between Boston and Providence on major U.S. Route 1. One can fly into either Logan Airport in Massachusetts or T.F. Green Airport in Rhode Island, each about a 45 minute ride. (Less expensive airfares are potentially possible through T.F. Green Airport, as well as less traffic congestion en route.) There are several fine restaurants within walking distance, more within a short hotel shuttle ride. A major attraction of this hotel is its food. The General Manager is a former chef and the head chef is a name in the Northeast. "One Bistro," at the Four Points/Norwood, is a locally renowned restaurant and nighttime hotspot. One of New England's largest brand name discount shopping malls is just a short ride south on Route 1.

A block of rooms have been reserved for this conference. Hotel reservations must be made by November 7, 2014 to ensure availability. GGI's block of rooms will be released back to the hotel after this date. One Bistro - In the hotel and conference center. A very popular casual dining spot with a diverse, American-Continental menu. Daily specials. A lot of hustle and bustle; TV and dining at the bar available. Moderately priced.

Within Walking Distance

Hibachi Steak House - 1st left south of hotel on Rt. 1. Less than 1/4 mile. Typical Japanese grill with chefs that put on a bit of a show at the grill. Group seating for eight around grill. Set menus. Interesting and fun for a group. Moderately priced.

Outback Steakhouse - across from Japanese Hibachi. Well-known steak house chain. Good sized portions and reasonable prices.

Santucci's NY Pizza - Next to Outback. Large pizza, calzone, submarine sandwich and salad menu. Soft drinks only. Good quality and quite inexpensive. Eat in or take out.

Siam Lotus - About 1/2 mi. south of hotel on right side in strip mall. Large and stylish Thai restaurant. Extensive menu and wine and beer list. No MSG used in dishes. Can range from mild to hot. Portions large; prices reasonable.

Friday's - Same strip mall as Siam Lotus. Popular chain of casual restaurants. American food with some Latin dishes. Full bar. Very casual. Reasonable prices.

Sky - About 1/4 mi. south of Friday's. Upscale American food service. Diverse menu. Full bar that is separate activity; restaurant with stylish and attractive banquettes and tables. Moderately priced.

Bon Caldo - Next door to Sky. Regional Italian food featuring wood grill. Interesting menu, focusing on various regional favorites. Different and generally well regarded. Full bar with some interesting choices and a good Italian wine list. A bit higher priced, but still moderate.

Bertucci's - 1/4 mi. south of Bon Caldo. Italian-style food chain that features brick-oven baked pizza, a wide range of pasta dishes, and many other popular Italian specialties. Full bar. Casual, generally quite acceptable, and reasonably priced.

99 Restaurant - 1 mile south of hotel. Casual, reasonable pricing, American-style menu. Full bar service.

British Beer Company - 1/4 mile south of 99. Popular classic American. Lively bar; both café and dining room open most nights, the latter having "table cloth" service. Nightly roast of the day (e.g. turkey, pork, lamb, etc.). Not fancy, but satisfactory and reasonably priced.

Lafayette House - 2 miles south of hotel. Antique colonial tavern that rambles about. Bar generally lively. Classic American menu with generous portions. Interesting setting.

Luciano's - About 10 miles south of the hotel on right in Wrentham. Fairly elegant Italian restaurant with extensive menu and service. Owner greets most guests during visit. Large, but often full. A bit above moderate pricing, but generous portions with extra touches.

La Cucina - Main St., Walpole Center. Approx. 5 miles from hotel. Casual country Italian. Chef owner. Creative menu, well-prepared. Moderate pricing.

Norwood Center - Approx. 5 miles. Several restaurants including Abondanza II (Italian), Byblos (Lebanese), Conrad's (American), and several others.
